What is FineCheck? Are you an official government service?
FineCheck is a private service that helps you look up Cyprus traffic camera fines and then redirects you to JCCsmart (the official payment gateway) to pay. We are not affiliated with the Government of Cyprus, Cyprus Police, or JCCsmart. We act on your instruction to query the official portals on your behalf.
Which fines can I check here?
You can check traffic camera fines recorded in the Speed Enforcement System in Cyprus (including CyCameraSystem). We don’t handle parking tickets or other municipal fines.
What details do I need to perform a lookup?
You’ll need your vehicle plate and one of the following: Cyprus ID, ARC (Alien Registration), Passport number, or Company Registration Number (for company vehicles).
Is FineCheck free to use?
Yes. The website lookup on finecheck.cy is free. If you decide to pay a fine, you’ll be redirected to JCCsmart; we don’t charge a commission for the lookup or the redirection.
Is paying through FineCheck secure? Do you store card details?
Payments are completed on JCCsmart. We never process or store your card details. After a successful payment, we may receive non-card references (e.g., transaction status/ID) needed to confirm completion.
Why does my fine still appear after I have paid?
Payment confirmation may take several days to process. Once the authorities process your payment, the fine’s status will update accordingly.
Why can’t I find a fine that I’m sure exists?
Most camera fines appear only after the violation is registered/issued. If you were recently flashed, please wait a few days and check again. Also make sure you’re entering the correct document type (Cyprus ID / ARC / Passport / Company Reg. No.) and plate exactly as issued.
What are “penalty points”?
Cyprus Police uses a penalty points system for certain traffic offences. Points shown with your camera fine count toward the legal threshold for licence suspension. From 1 February 2025, the suspension threshold is 16 points.
